Inclinometers
Jewell Instruments is one of very few sensor manufacturers that offer force balanced, electrolytic and MEMS tilt sensors. For many years, They have been producing our high precision force balanced inclinometers, electrolytic tiltmeters for geophysical, geotechnical and industrial applications.
MEMS sensors are the most recent additions to our reputable inclinometer products. Their ruggedness and reliability makes them a great low-cost solution for numerous applications.
Force Balanced
Jewell force-balanced inclinometers are extremely sensitive, rugged transducers designed to provide horizontal angle or vertical deviation measurements with virtually infinite resolution. All Jewell force-balanced inclinometers respond to changes of slope as small as 0.1 second of arc, with a high-level DC output signal proportional to the sine of the angle of tilt from as little as ±1° full range to ±90° full range.
Force Balanced Inclinometers types:
- Analog Inclinometers
- Digital Inclinometer
- Ethernet Inclinometer
Geophysical / Tech
Jewell Instruments divides its Geophysical/Tech tiltmeters into six different series based on model numbers. Some of the resolutions are reported in microradians or even nanoradians, reflecting the extremely high sensitivity of some of these instruments.
All Jewell Instruments Geophysical/Tech tiltmeters and clinometers include full signal conditioning electronics that produce stable output signals over a wide range of input voltages. This important feature means you can be confident that your measurements represent actual movement, not power supply variations. The high-level voltage, current and serial outputs provided by our electronics are reliably delivered over long cables and wireless data links.
Geophysical / Tech Inclinometers types:
- High Precision Inclinometers
- Advanced Research Inclinometers
- Miniture Tilt Sensors and Signal Conditioners
Electronic Compass
Jewell Instrument's electronic compass represents the state-of-the-art in magnetic compassing. It combines a precision 3-axis solid-state magnetometer and a rugged 2-axis electrolytic tilt sensor to provide accurate heading and tilt measurements over a wide range of environmental conditions.
The firmware and signal processing algorithms have been refined and improved over three prior generations of compasses to deliver the ultimate in performance from the available sensor data.
Electronic Compass types:
- ECS Series – Standard eCompass
- ECL Series – Low Power eCompass
- ECG Series – eCompass with Gyro
- ECV Series – 3D eCompass
MEMS
Jewell Instruments presents both analog and digital inclinometers (tilt sensors) that utilize MEMS capacitive technology. Each are capable of measuring positive and negative inclination (angle) from +/-1° to +/-90° in one and two axis configurations. You can get the exact sensor required for your application by choosing the angle range, bandwidth, analog or digital electrical output and more.
MEMS Inclonemeters type:
- Digital MEMS Inclinometers
- Analogic MEMS Inclinometers
